Apple to unveil touchscreen MacBook Pro and updated iPad Mini in late October
Apple plans to hold a late-October event to launch a touchscreen MacBook Pro and a refreshed iPad Mini, according to Bloomberg.
Apple is expected to hold a product event on or around Oct. 27, featuring a new MacBook Pro equipped with a touchscreen OLED display and a lighter chassis. The device is also rumored to incorporate the iPhone-style Dynamic Island interface and, in one variant, the upcoming M6 processor that will debut with a new Mac Mini. The same event is slated to showcase an updated iPad Mini, which will move its front-facing camera to the landscape edge and include an enhanced speaker system. Bloomberg says the presentation will combine an online video stream with an in-person component for the press, similar to the format planned for Apple’s Oct. 13 smart-home focused event.
