Gypsy Rose Blanchard to Attend Former Partner Ken Urker's Funeral Amid Family Tension
Gypsy Rose Blanchard confirmed she will travel to Texas for Ken Urker's memorial service, despite ongoing public disputes with his sister, Autumn Urker.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard, 35, will travel to Texas to attend the funeral of her former partner Ken Urker, according to a source close to the family. The source said Blanchard has been welcomed by Urker’s relatives and plans to join the memorial service.
Blanchard previously visited a viewing in Louisiana and has maintained communication with Urker’s family, describing the interactions as "positive and respectful" during the grieving period. However, tension remains with Urker’s sister, Autumn, who has publicly criticized Blanchard’s behavior after Ken’s death.
Autumn Urker told media outlets that the family is "disgusted" with Blanchard and questioned the circumstances surrounding Ken’s passing. In response, Blanchard told a magazine that she does not want the focus on “negativity or disagreements” and emphasized that she continues to co-parent their one-year-old daughter, Aurora, with Ken.
Ken Urker was found dead in his Louisiana home on Oct. 1, his 34th birthday. Police reports indicated the presence of drug paraphernalia and a firearm at the scene, though officials have not confirmed the cause of death. Blanchard posted on social media that the death appeared to be a suspected overdose and asked the public to show kindness and sign a petition against online harassment in his memory.
The couple had separated a month before Urker’s death, reportedly due to his mental-health struggles, but they remained in regular contact regarding their child. Their relationship began in 2017 while Blanchard was incarcerated, and they later welcomed their daughter in late 2024.
