SI expands 2027 NFL draft board to 75 prospects, led by Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith

Sports Illustrated has released an expanded list of 75 prospects for the 2027 NFL draft, adding 25 more players to its earlier top-50 board. Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith tops the ranking, maintaining his status as the consensus No. 1 prospect across all positions. Smith, a 6-foot-3, 223-pound receiver, has recorded 44 catches for 823 yards and nine touchdowns this season and is being compared to former NFL star Julio Jones.

Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore is the second-ranked player, praised for his size and athleticism. Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons, Ole Miss defensive tackle Will Echoles, and South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart round out the top five, each noted for production and physical traits.

Other notable selections include Indiana wide receiver Charlie Becker, Texas quarterback Arch Manning, Texas offensive tackle Trevor Goosby, and Miami quarterback Darian Mensah, who posted a 84.2% completion rate with 15 touchdowns and no interceptions.

The board also highlights several defensive prospects such as Oregon edge rusher Yhonzae Pierre, Minnesota interior lineman Greg Johnson, and Alabama safety KJ Bolden, as well as offensive talents like Texas wide receiver Cam Coleman and Rutgers receiver KJ Duff.

"Smith is the consensus top prospect at any position, and that likely won’t change from now until April," the list’s author wrote.

The rankings note both performance metrics and potential concerns, such as Dylan Stewart’s disciplinary suspension and the injury status of players like Notre Dame safety Brauntae Johnson. The expanded board aims to provide a broader view of the class as the college season progresses toward the NFL scouting combine.
