Catherine Zeta-Jones says she hasn't finished Michael Douglas' memoir due to a busy schedule
Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones told the Today show she hasn't completed reading her husband Michael Douglas' new memoir, citing extensive filming commitments, while Douglas discussed the book's candid content.
Catherine Zeta-Jones told the Today show on Thursday that she has not finished reading her husband Michael Douglas' memoir, "One Helluva Ride," because of a demanding work schedule. The actress said she has been traveling worldwide for television projects, including seven months filming the third season of "Wednesday" in Dublin, a Prime Video series filmed in London, and a recent shoot in Bilbao, Spain.
"As much as I love my husband, when I’m tired at night, I have no intention of reading about him at all," Zeta-Jones said.
She added that she expects other readers to enjoy the book. Douglas, who released the memoir on Tuesday, confirmed his wife’s busy calendar and noted that the book contains personal revelations about his past relationships, substance use and rehab experiences. He said the inclusion of his cocaine use was intended to provide a candid account of Hollywood culture in the 1970s and 1980s.
"I didn’t have to include it, but I was just sharing my experience," Douglas told Page Six.
The couple, married since 2000, have two adult children. Douglas expressed appreciation for his wife's support and for the opportunity to share his story publicly.
