Dolly Parton estate sues nephew and former security chief over alleged threats

Résumé

The Dolly Parton estate has filed a lawsuit against her nephew, former head of security Bryan Seaver, accusing him of intimidation and extortion.

The Dolly Parton estate, managed by the company She's Alive LLC, has filed a civil suit against Bryan Seaver, the singer's nephew and former head of security. The complaint alleges that Seaver threatened and attempted to extort the estate, and that he has placed barbed wire and a "no trespassing" sign around the property in an effort to avoid legal action. Seaver, who announced Parton's death on social media on Aug. 25, is one of the singer's 11 siblings' children. The lawsuit seeks damages and an injunction against the alleged conduct. The case is ongoing and further developments are expected.

"We are taking these steps to protect the integrity of Dolly Parton's legacy and the interests of the estate," a spokesperson for She's Alive LLC said.
