Family friend says Chad Lowe's daughter Fiona struggled after Palisades fire
A family friend said Fiona Lowe was deeply affected by the loss of her home in the 2023 Palisades fire, and the teen later died by suicide in September.
A family friend of actor Chad Lowe reported that his middle daughter, Fiona, was heavily impacted after the family lost their home in the Palisades fire last year. Music executive Mykesha Robinson, whose daughter Faith was Fiona's elementary-school friend, told the Daily Mail that the fire destroyed everything the family owned. Robinson said the two girls were close, nicknamed “FiFi,” and that Fiona was a “ray of light" who easily made friends.
Robinson added that after graduating from Palisades Charter Elementary, the girls lost contact. Two weeks ago, Faith created an Instagram account and sent a friend request to Fiona, which was not accepted. Faith later expressed concern that Fiona might be upset with her.
Robinson said she has been in “buckets of tears” since learning of Fiona’s death, which was ruled a suicide on Sept. 29, when the teen was 13. She has not heard back from Fiona’s mother, Kim Painter, after reaching out.
The Lowe family confirmed they are “deeply heartbroken” by the loss. In January, the family’s home was destroyed by the Palisades fires, and in February Chad Lowe posted on Instagram about returning to the damaged property, praising his wife and daughters for how they handled the displacement.
