Cowboys rally late to beat Texans 34-30

Resumen

CeeDee Lamb recorded a career-high 17 catches as Dallas overcame a late deficit to defeat Houston 34-30, keeping the Texans winless in their first four games.

CeeDee Lamb posted a career-high 17 receptions for 189 yards and a 12-yard touchdown with 40 seconds remaining, giving the Dallas Cowboys a 34-30 win over the Houston Texans. The victory moved Dallas to 2-2 on the season while Houston fell to 0-4.

Dallas trailed 30-26 after a 6-yard touchdown run by Woody Marks with 2½ minutes left. Quarterback Dak Prescott then led an 11-play, 74-yard drive that included a fourth-down conversion, culminating in the Lamb touchdown that secured the win. > "As soon as it was called, I knew it was a touchdown," Prescott said.

Houston’s final drive ended when quarterback C.J. Stroud’s pass fell incomplete. > "Our guys moved the ball really well, but we did not play well enough defensively," Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said.

Javonte Williams contributed three second-half touchdowns for Dallas, and Dalton Schultz’s hook-and-ladder play set up the Texans’ earlier score. Prescott finished with 335 passing yards, while Stroud threw for 347 yards.

Texans wide receiver Nico Collins, returning from a hamstring injury, caught seven passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns, but his efforts were insufficient. > "It's tough. We're 0-4 right now. You've got to move forward," Collins said.

The game featured a halftime ceremony honoring former Texans, including Hall of Famer Andre Johnson and former coach Gary Kubiak. Cowboys rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr., making his first appearance of the season after a trade from Pittsburgh, expressed relief at finally playing.

Dallas will host Tampa Bay on Thursday night, while Houston travels to Tennessee the following Sunday.
