Metallica delivers new setlist on second night of Las Vegas Sphere residency

Summary

The band performed a fresh 16-song lineup at the Sphere, including tracks not played in years, as part of their Life Burns Faster residency.

Metallica returned to the Las Vegas Sphere for the second night of their Life Burns Faster residency, delivering a completely new 16-song set. The performance opened with the …And Justice For All intro "Blackened," followed by 1997’s "Fuel" and the Master of Puppets-era track "Leper Messiah."

The band revived "Devil’s Dance" from the Load album, a song absent from live shows for 18 years, and played "The Outlaw Torn," which had not been performed in seven years. The remainder of the set featured well-known numbers such as "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)," "The Unforgiven," "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "One" and concluded with "Enter Sandman."

Metallica is the first metal act to perform at the 20,000-capacity Sphere, which has previously hosted artists including U2, the Eagles, Dead & Friends and No Doubt. The group earlier announced additional North American dates for their ongoing M72 tour, extending the Las Vegas run through early 2027.
