Ex-husband of Gy Gy Rose Blanchard comments on former partner Ken Urker's death

Resumen

Ryan Anderson said he was shocked by the death of Ken Urker, Gypsy Rose Blanchard's former partner, and expressed concern for Blanchard and their daughter.

Ryan Anderson, who was married to Gypsy Rose Blanchard from June 2022 until their March 2024 separation, said he was "shocked" after learning that Ken Urker died of a suspected overdose on his 34th birthday at his Louisiana home. Police reports indicated drug paraphernalia and a firearm were found at the scene.

Anderson told "The Sarah Fraser Show" that his first reaction was disbelief and that he immediately wondered about Blanchard’s wellbeing and that of Aurora, the one-year-old daughter she shared with Urker. He said he has not spoken to Blanchard in about a year but reached out to her father, Rod Blanchard, to convey his condolences and offer support if needed.

Urker, who had first met Blanchard while she was incarcerated in 2017, was engaged to her in 2018, later split, and rekindled the relationship in early 2024. The couple welcomed their daughter in December 2024 and reportedly ended their romance a month before Urker’s death.

Anderson noted that he and Urker never met in person and that their interactions over phone and text were not positive, but he expressed sympathy for the loss. He said his primary concern remains Aurora’s welfare and that he would be available to Blanchard as a friend if she chooses to contact him.

Blanchard issued a statement describing her disbelief over Urker’s death and referenced the online criticism he had faced.
