Google raises Pixel 10a price by $100 to $599
Google has increased the starting price of its Pixel 10a smartphone from $499 to $599, citing higher component costs, with the change effective immediately across major retailers.
Google has increased the price of its mid-range Pixel 10a smartphone by $100, setting the new base price at $599 in the United States. The adjustment, which took effect on the Google Store today, also raises the 256 GB model to $699. Similar price changes have been reflected on Amazon, Best Buy and in international markets, with the device listed at $849 in Canada, £599 in the United Kingdom and €649 in Europe.
The company has not provided an official comment on the increase, but analysts attribute it to rising costs for components such as memory. The move follows a recent price hike for the Pixel 11 series, which Google indicated would eventually affect its existing lineup.
In a prior review, the Pixel 10a was described as offering a “well-rounded experience” at its former $499 price point. The $100 rise may prompt consumers to reassess its value, especially as the device uses a two-generation-old Tensor G4 chipset. The price adjustment mirrors broader industry trends, with other manufacturers, including Samsung, also raising prices across their smartphone ranges.
