Meta, Anthropic, Alphabet, Nvidia and OpenAI leaders are slated to attend a White House luncheon on Tuesday with President Trump and Speaker Johnson, amid ongoing discussions about AI safety and regulation.

Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg and Anthropic founder Dario Amodei are among several technology executives scheduled to attend a luncheon with President Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday, according to multiple sources familiar with the plans. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and OpenAI president Greg Brockman have also confirmed their participation. The event, organized by the White House, will feature panel discussions on artificial intelligence, energy, space and other topics, and will coincide with the launch of a new federal information website.

Anthropic co-founder and chief compute officer Tom Brown is also expected to be present. The gathering follows a recent state dinner that hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping and included tech leaders such as Apple CEO Tim Cook, SpaceX founder Elon Musk and AMD chief Lisa Su.

Industry voices have been divided over AI safety. Anthropic’s Amodei recently called for a measured approach to developing advanced models, a stance echoed by OpenAI chief Sam Altman and Elon Musk, who have advocated for a sector-wide slowdown. President Trump has described concerns about AI as unfounded, referring to them as a "hoax" and a "scam" in recent remarks.
