Teresa Giudice says daughter Milania had fentanyl in system during Tampa airport incident
Police body-camera footage shows Teresa Giudice telling officers that her 20-year-old daughter Milania Giudice had fentanyl in her system during a disruptive encounter at Tampa International Airport, while the family seeks professional help for the daughter.
Police body-camera video from Tampa International Airport captured a heated exchange involving reality-TV star Teresa Giudice, her 20-year-old daughter Milania, and Giudice’s older daughter Gia. Teresa told officers that Milania "had fentanyl in her system" while the family was in an elevator, though it was not clear whether the comment referred to a current or prior condition.
During the confrontation, Milania raised her voice, shouted accusations at her mother and sister, and demanded that police leave, while Gia tried to calm her and reminded her that officers were there to help. Police officers in the footage described Milania as using repetitive language and considered her a danger to herself, noting that she had previously been involuntarily committed under the Baker Act and was being returned to a rehabilitation facility.
The incident, reported to police around 2:20 p.m., was linked to Milania’s recent hospitalization and the presence of a counselor accompanying her. A police report indicated she was experiencing suicidal thoughts and a mental breakdown.
Teresa Giudice later posted a statement on Instagram emphasizing her priority to protect her daughter’s health and privacy, citing recent grief over the loss of two close friends. Milania’s representative confirmed she remains under professional care and asked for compassion and privacy for the family.
Milania, who was previously charged with simple assault in New Jersey and has enrolled in anger-management classes, is scheduled to appear in court next week.
