Apple unveiled the AirPods Pro 3 during its September 9 event, introducing features such as heart rate monitoring and improved active noise cancellation. The new earbuds are available for purchase immediately after the event.
The AirPods Pro 3 incorporate Apple's H3 chip, enhancing audio processing and power efficiency. The heart rate monitoring feature utilizes LED optical sensors to measure pulse via blood flow, integrating with fitness apps and syncing data to the Health app on the iPhone. This technology is similar to that found in the Powerbeats Pro 2.
Design updates include a more compact charging case equipped with a USB-C port. The earbuds also offer improved active noise cancellation, filtering up to 30% more ambient noise compared to the previous generation.
The AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249, consistent with the previous model. They are available for order immediately following the event, with shipping expected to commence next week.
