Attorney says lone juror in Lindsay Clancy trial had no doubt about conviction

Résumé

The lawyer for the sole holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial asserted the juror was confident in his decision and cited extensive evidence, after a mistrial was declared.

Attorney Edward Paltzik told Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany that juror Michael P. Desronvil had "zero doubt" about his verdict and that a "mountain of evidence" supported his position. Desronvil was the only juror to vote for conviction after seven days of deliberations, while the other eleven jurors favored a not-guilty finding for former nurse Lindsay Clancy, who admitted killing her three children in January 2023. Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4. Prosecutors have not yet indicated whether they will seek a retrial, and Clancy is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 29.
