The United States overcame a three-point deficit on the final day at Medinah Country Club to capture the Presidents Cup, finishing 17-13 against the International team.

The United States needed a Sunday comeback at Medinah Country Club to retain the Presidents Cup after trailing by three points. Team captain Brandt Snedeker opened the singles session with Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Justin Thomas and Scottie Scheffler, hoping to generate early momentum. International captain Geoff Ogilvy spread his top players throughout the lineup.

The U.S. secured eight of the twelve singles matches, turning a 13-13 tie into a 17-13 win. Young defeated Ryo Hisatsune 3&2, Thomas beat Corey Conners 5&3, Scheffler edged Nico Echavarria 2&1, Chris Gotterup edged Christiaan Bezuidenhout 1 up, Collin Morikawa beat Hideki Matsuyama 1 up, Patrick Cantlay defeated Adam Scott 2&1, Jackson Koivun beat Si Woo Kim 2 up and Jacob Bridgeman edged Min Woo Lee 1 up. The International side won three matches and tied one, falling short of the five points needed for an upset.

"We knew we had to win the majority of the singles to keep the Cup," Snedeker said after the victory.

The final score of 17½ to 13½ gave the United States its 15th Presidents Cup title, extending a historic dominance over the International team.
