Travis Kelce to Miss 2026 MTV VMAs as He Travels to Miami

Taylor Swift is scheduled to appear at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 27, where she will premiere the music video for “Patient Zero” and accept the inaugural Artist Director Honors. Her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, will not be at the ceremony because he will be in Miami for personal and professional obligations.

Swift confirmed her plans during a recent interview, saying she looks forward to the event and the opportunity to showcase her latest work. Kelce’s itinerary was disclosed by his representatives, noting that his presence in Miami coincides with a series of team-related activities and a charitable event.

“I’m excited to be part of the VMAs and share the new video with fans,” Swift said. “Travis has his own schedule, and we support each other’s commitments,” Kelce added.

The couple, who have been publicly linked since mid-2023, have previously attended each other’s professional events, but their separate appearances this week reflect their individual career demands.
