Boseman widow says she has paid more than $1.7 million to actor's parents amid brothers' challenge
Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman asserts she has provided over $1.7 million to Chadwick Boseman's parents and $300,000 to his nieces and nephews, while his brothers seek her removal as estate administrator.
Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman has filed a response in court contesting a petition by Chadwick Boseman's brothers, Derrick and Kevin, to remove her as administrator of the late actor's estate. In documents obtained by a media outlet, Simone states that since 2022 she has transferred more than $1.7 million to her late husband's parents, Carolyn and Leroy Boseman, including $1.5 million in May 2023, an additional $260,000 later that year, and over $4,000 in December 2024. She also says she voluntarily gave $300,000 to Derrick's children.
The brothers filed the petition alleging concerns about Simone's management of the estate. Simone rejected the allegations, saying she is acting in accordance with Chadwick Boseman's wishes.
"I am doing everything Chadwick wanted," Simone said in a filing.
The dispute centers on the transparency and control of the estate's finances, with both sides presenting their positions to the court.
