Reviewer Finds iPhone 18 Pro Offers Superior Camera, Battery and Performance After One Week of Use

A user who upgraded from an iPhone Air to a burgundy iPhone 18 Pro after a year reports that the newer model provides measurable gains in several key areas. The reviewer says the camera system, including the main, telephoto and ultra-wide lenses, is more versatile and delivers higher-quality images than the Air. Battery life, which previously required a midday charge, now lasts through the day without concern, and the device’s A20 Pro processor makes everyday tasks feel faster, with no overheating observed thanks to a vapor-chamber cooling system. Additional refinements such as improved speakers and an updated Dynamic Island are also highlighted.

The author contrasts these strengths with expectations for the forthcoming iPhone Duo, noting that the Duo is likely to have a less capable camera, shorter battery life and lower sustained performance, and will omit features like Face ID and the Action button. However, the reviewer expresses interest in the Duo’s foldable design, describing it as a potentially "futuristic" addition to Apple’s lineup. The piece concludes that while the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max represent the most fully featured Apple smartphones currently available, the iPhone Duo may appeal to users seeking a novel form factor despite its compromises.
