Documentary trailer shows Elizabeth Holmes asserting innocence before prison term
A new trailer for the documentary "You Can See Everything" features convicted Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes saying she has nothing to hide, as filmmaker Nathan Fielder and her partner appear in the footage recorded shortly before she began her prison sentence.
A trailer for the upcoming documentary "You Can See Everything" shows Elizabeth Holmes, the former Theranos CEO sentenced to more than 11 years for fraud, asserting that she did nothing wrong. In the opening scene, filmmaker Nathan Fielder asks Holmes if she believes she is innocent, to which she replies, "I did not," and later adds, "I don't have anything to hide." The footage, filmed in 2023 about a month before Holmes reported to prison, also captures her living with partner Billy Evans and their children while Fielder stays with the family.
"I don't think so," Holmes says when asked if she is concerned about a filmmaker living with them, adding that she wants to document the story before she is gone. "No, never," Evans responds when questioned whether he ever suspected Holmes of lying. The film, directed by Lance Oppenheim and Nathan Fielder, is scheduled for theatrical release on Oct. 16. A synopsis describes it as a three-year chronicle that began as an intimate portrait of Holmes and evolved into a broader examination of her case. Holmes promoted a clip from the documentary on her social media account on Sept. 6, captioning it, "I’m always being real."
