Dolly Parton's manager files restraining order against her nephew

Resumen

Longtime manager Danny Nozell sought a temporary restraining order against Bryan Seaver, alleging threatening communications after Parton's death, while Seaver denied the accusations.

Dolly Parton's longtime manager, Danny Nozell, filed a petition for a temporary restraining order against the singer's nephew, Bryan Seaver, in a Nashville court. Nozell, who runs the She’s Alive, LLC entity created to manage Parton's business affairs, said Seaver sent a series of threatening texts and emails in the weeks following Parton's death on Aug. 25. The messages, according to court filings, included statements about destroying the brand and plans for a podcast that would “ruin Dolly’s brand partnerships.”

She’s Alive terminated Seaver’s employment on Sept. 15 and asked the court to prohibit him from contacting or approaching its employees, attorneys and business partners within 1,000 feet. The filing also noted that several staff members resigned and the estate’s attorney withdrew after the alleged communications.

Seaver responded in a statement to media, asserting that he is a career soldier and security professional and that the messages were taken out of context. He claimed the exchanges were private conversations with Nozell and not threats. No further comment was received from Nozell’s representatives.

The dispute highlights an internal conflict over the management of Parton's legacy and business interests after her death.
