Samsung begins global rollout of One UI 9.0 for Galaxy S26 series

Résumé

Samsung has started distributing the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S26 line outside South Korea, with the United States among the first markets to receive it.

Samsung announced the start of the worldwide rollout of the stable One UI 9.0 software for its Galaxy S26 smartphones. The update, first released in South Korea on September 16, is now being offered to carrier-locked devices in other regions, including the United States.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra update package is 4,183 MB and carries firmware version S948USQU4BZID. Users can download it by selecting Settings → Software update → Check for updates.

Samsung expects the One UI 9.0 release to reach additional countries over the coming days to weeks. Built on Android 17, the new interface adds customization options for the Quick Panel, enhanced Samsung Notes and DeX functionality, expanded accessibility tools, and a location-privacy indicator, among other features.

"The stable version of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S26 series should also be available for units enrolled in the new software's beta program," Samsung said.

The company indicated that a full feature list is available on its support site and that a video overview of the major changes has been published.
