Travis Kelma Addresses Taylor Swift Memes After Touchdown Celebration
Travis Kelce discussed viral memes about Taylor Swift pointing to her wedding ring during his touchdown celebration on a podcast, while the Chiefs continue a 2-0 start.
The Kansas City Chiefs opened the season with a 2-0 record after an overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts, and the team's recent game sparked a wave of social-media memes. On the New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce and his brother Jason reviewed the online jokes that emerged after Swift pointed to her wedding ring while celebrating Travis' first-quarter touchdown.
"The internet's having a good old time with this," Travis Kelce said, adding that he wants to make his wife proud. The touchdown, a 13-yard reception from Patrick Mahomes, gave Kansas City a 10-7 lead. The moment gained additional attention because Swift, who married Kelce on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, has attended the Chiefs' first two games this season. She also announced the upcoming release of a new single later in the week. Kelce, now in his 14th season, has recorded 12 catches for 172 yards and one touchdown through the first two games, marking his first 100-yard regular-season performance since Week 9 of the 2024 campaign.
