A24 has issued a fresh trailer for "You Can See Everything," a documentary directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim that tracks Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes during the final days of her freedom and the early weeks of her incarceration. The film, which runs 174 minutes, was first shown to an audience at the Telluride Film Festival, where a short teaser and an October 16 release date were also announced.
The trailer features a close-up exchange between Holmes and Fielder, with Holmes stating, \"I don’t have anything to deceive you on. Of course I’m not deceiving you. I’m engaging with you as a human being. Why would I deceive you? There’s no reason for me to do that.\"
Variety critic Owen Gleiberman described the documentary as a unique blend of reality-TV and psychodrama that maintains a tone of genuine inquiry, noting Fielder’s deadpan interviewing style. Another Variety writer, Clayton Davis, said the film grows increasingly unconventional over its three-year span and left many festival attendees describing it as "wild" and "WTF," indicating strong reactions among viewers.
