सारांश

President Donald Trump’s July financial disclosure shows more than 1,100 transactions worth between $79 million and $270 million, with notable sales of Microsoft and Amazon shares on July 20.

President Donald Trump disclosed more than 1,100 securities transactions for July, according to a filing released on Tuesday. The trades, valued between roughly $79 million and $270 million, included purchases totaling at least $43.6 million and sales of at least $35.6 million, indicating a broad reshuffling of his portfolio.

The largest moves were sales of $5 million to $25 million each of Microsoft and Amazon shares on July 20, the day the so-called “Mag 7” tech stocks surged. Three days later, the filing recorded modest purchases of Microsoft and Amazon shares, ranging from $100,001 to $250,000 and $1,001 to $15,000 respectively.

Other July 20 entries show sales of $1 million to $5 million of Oracle and a $250,001 to $500,000 sale of Northrop Grumman, coinciding with an executive order tightening supply-chain rules for defense contractors. The filing does not specify the timing of the trades or who directed them.

Trump also traded shares of companies linked to Elon Musk. He bought $15,001 to $50,000 of SpaceX stock on July 10 and sold a smaller amount on July 17, and he made multiple purchases and sales of Tesla shares between June and July, including a $100,001 to $250,000 purchase on July 27.

The White House said the portfolio is managed by independent financial institutions and that neither the president nor his family can influence investment decisions. "President Trump's stock and bond portfolio is independently managed by third-party financial institutions," spokesperson Davis Ingle said. The Trump Organization did not immediately comment.

In addition to individual stocks, the filing lists purchases of $1 million to $5 million each of Intuit, Marvell Technology, Salesforce, Church & Dwight and Axon Enterprises, a maker of tasers used by immigration officials. Trump also moved money among several exchange-traded funds and bought municipal bonds in Florida and Missouri.

The filing follows a June disclosure that recorded 1,051 transactions worth between $78.1 million and $263.1 million. Compared with his first year in office, when 86 stock transactions were reported, the number of trades has risen sharply during his second term.
