Social media influencer Braden Peters faces rape and related charges in Massachusetts
Influencer Braden Peters, 20, has been charged with rape, drugging and providing alcohol to a minor after a court case involving a 17-year-old alleged victim.
A Massachusetts district court has charged 20-year-old social media influencer Braden Peters, known online as “Clavicular,” with three felonies: rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse and supplying alcohol to a minor. The charges stem from an incident alleged to have occurred on May 23, 2025, at Peters’ home in Chatham, where a 17-year-old girl says she was pressured to drink vodka, became intoxicated and was subsequently forced to have sex without consent. Court documents indicate the victim initially communicated with Peters via Instagram, where he paid her to appear on his livestreams.
Peters’ legal representative, Mitchell Jackson, told NPR that his client “denies the allegations.” Jackson also criticized the plaintiff’s handling of a related civil lawsuit filed in Florida, noting that sexual assault claims were added only after the suit was amended.
The teenager previously filed a civil case in Miami-Dade County alleging battery, fraud and other claims, including accusations that Peters injected her face with an unapproved fat-dissolving substance during a livestream. Andrew Moss, the plaintiff’s attorney, confirmed that the same individual is involved in both the Florida and Massachusetts actions.
Peters has not issued a formal public comment on the criminal charges, though he posted remarks on the social platform X mocking the lawsuit. His arraignment is set for Oct. 14.
"She files a lawsuit and doesn't include sexual assault as a count. Then she amends it and adds it a couple of months later," Jackson said in an email.
Peters has faced prior legal issues, including a March arrest warrant in Florida for instigating a fight captured on video and an April charge for unlawful firearm discharge after a viral video showed him shooting at a dead alligator.
