Presley Gerber's death investigated as suspected overdose

摘要

Presley Gerber, 27, son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, died at a Los Angeles rehabilitation center, with police treating the case as a possible overdose.

Police in Santa Monica are treating the death of Presley Gerber, 27, as a suspected overdose, according to a department news release. The son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and entrepreneur Rande Gerber died at a rehabilitation facility, and Los Angeles County medical examiner records show an autopsy was performed, though additional testing is pending before a cause of death is formally announced.

Gerber, the eldest child of Crawford and Rande Gerber and brother of model Kaia Gerber, had previously spoken publicly about his mental-health challenges and long-term addiction issues. In a 2023 podcast interview he said he hoped sharing his experience would help others dealing with similar struggles.

"That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body," he said.

A spokesperson for the family confirmed the death and asked for privacy during the period of mourning.

Born in California in 1999, Gerber began modeling at age 15 with IMG Models and debuted on the runway in 2016 for Moschino’s Resort show. His portfolio included work for Celine, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Pepsi.
