Apple launches settlement site for $250 million Siri AI class action

Résumé

Apple has opened an online portal for eligible iPhone owners to file claims for a $250 million settlement over delayed Siri AI features, with a filing deadline of Dec. 21.

Apple has made a settlement website available for consumers who purchased certain iPhone models after the company advertised new Siri AI capabilities. The $250 million class-action settlement resolves a lawsuit that accused Apple of delaying promised AI-enhanced features for Siri, which were originally slated for the iPhone 16 series in 2024.

Eligible claimants include owners of iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and all iPhone 16 variants bought in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. To file a claim, users must visit the settlement site, provide personal details and the device’s serial number, or alternatively an Apple account and phone number if the serial number is unavailable.

The court has set a final approval hearing for Feb. 24, 2027, and payouts are expected the following year. The amount each claimant receives will depend on the total number of filings, ranging from about $25 to a maximum of $95 per person.
