Meghan Markle seen with Ellen DeGeneres in Oxfordshire, first UK outing since return
The Duchess of Sussex was photographed at an Oxfordshire pub with longtime friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, marking her first public appearance in Britain since moving back with Prince Harry.
Meghan Markle was photographed on Monday, Sept. 21, meeting Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi at The Three Horseshoes, an 18th-century pub near Burford in Oxfordshire. The three spent time together before the Duchess left the venue.
The Duchess wore white pants, a light-blue button-down shirt, white sneakers and sunglasses, with her hair worn down. The outing follows the Sussexes' return to the United Kingdom on Aug. 26 with their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.
DeGeneres and de Rossi, who were part of the Sussexes' social circle in Montecito, have previously appeared at events with the couple, including a surprise vow-renewal ceremony in 2023. Earlier in the month, Meghan and Harry were reported at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, though the Duchess was not photographed.
Harry attended the WellChild Awards in London on the same day, continuing a series of public engagements since the family's relocation. The Duke and Duchess stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 and have not resumed those roles since moving back to Britain.
