Eagles defeat Titans as Jalen Hurts leads game-winning drive

Resumen

Philadelphia beat Tennessee in Week 2, with quarterback Jalen Hurts engineering a late winning drive. The win highlighted strong performances by receiver DeVonta Smith and newcomer Tay Wicks, while the team’s rushing attack and defense showed areas for improvement.

Philadelphia secured a narrow victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, thanks to a decisive two-minute drive orchestrated by quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts completed 26 of 37 passes for 264 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and finished the game with a 65-yard, nine-play drive that ended with a touchdown pass to Darius Cooper.

DeVonta Smith contributed 10 receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown, while rookie Tay Wicks added five catches for 74 yards, including a crucial 20-yard gain on the final drive. Special-teams player Darius Cooper recorded two catches, the second of which was the game-winning score.

The Eagles’ rushing attack struggled, managing only 89 yards on 32 carries (2.8 yards per attempt) and committing four penalties on running plays. The offensive line also faced pressure, with interior linemen Cam Jurgens and Drew Kendall rotating at guard and center.

Defensively, Philadelphia has yet to record a turnover this season, joining a small group of teams without a forced take-away despite facing low-ranking opponents.

Looking ahead, the Eagles will travel to Chicago for a Week 3 matchup against the Bears, followed by games against the Rams, Jaguars in London and other opponents on a more challenging schedule.
