College football analyst Josh Furlong released his ballot for the Associated Press consensus rankings, which will be published Sunday. Texas retained the No. 1 spot after a 30-6 victory over UTSA, though the margin was modest and quarterback Arch Manning posted a modest 164 yards and two touchdowns.

Ole Miss moved up to No. 2 after defeating LSU, propelled by quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns. The win also featured a late interception in the end zone that secured the victory.

Miami claimed the No. 3 position, driven by a strong performance from quarterback Darian Mensah, who completed 30 of 34 passes and helped the team build a 24-7 halftime lead.

Notre Dame, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama and BYU rounded out the top ten, with BYU entering the list after a road win over Colorado State. The ballot also listed several other programs under consideration, including North Dakota State, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

"Trinidad Chambliss had an electric performance and established himself as any early favorite to win the Heisman," Furlong wrote.

"LJ Martin continues to impress as an unstoppable force for the Cougars," he added regarding BYU.
