New Siri AI in iOS 27 Handles Over 100 Tested Requests
Apple's iOS 27 introduces an upgraded Siri AI that successfully completed 125 user-tested prompts, according to technology columnist David Pogue.
Apple released iOS 27 this week, featuring a revamped Siri AI. Technology writer David Pogue evaluated the assistant by issuing 125 distinct requests and documented the outcomes in a Substack post.
Pogue reported that the new Siri could generate a consolidated list of pending items from Mail, Messages and Reminders, provide specific details such as an apartment number for an event, and delete all existing alarms after confirmation. He noted that the assistant succeeded in the majority of tests, with only a few failures, such as attempting to send a Venmo payment, which may improve as third-party apps update for iOS 27 compatibility.
