Analyst Predicts Price Adjustments for Upcoming iPhone 17 Series

As Apple prepares to unveil the iPhone 17 series on September 9, analysts project notable price adjustments across the lineup. J.P. Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee estimates the iPhone 17 Pro will start at $1,099, marking a $100 increase from its predecessor. This rise is attributed to the base storage doubling from 128GB to 256GB. The standard iPhone 17 is expected to maintain its $799 starting price, while the new iPhone 17 Air, replacing the Plus model, may debut between $899 and $949. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is projected to retain its $1,199 price point. These adjustments would end an eight-year trend of stable Pro model pricing. Apple has historically avoided U.S. price hikes despite rising component costs and tariffs. The official pricing will be confirmed during Apple's event on September 9.
