FactsLane 1.6: widgets, Noise Budget and Auto Zen

FactsLane 1.6 is about control. You decide how much news reaches you, when it arrives, and where you see it.

What's new

  • Widgets. Put the Turbulence Index, Pulse signals, finance and football on your home screen and see the state of the day without opening the app. Tapping a widget takes you to the matching section.
  • Noise Budget. Set a daily limit for distressing stories. When you reach it, the app says so gently and offers Zen Mode for the rest of the day.
  • Auto Zen. Choose an evening window and the feed switches to Zen Mode on its own, then returns to normal in the morning.
  • US sports. NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB join football on Pulse, with schedules, scores and standings.
  • Sign in with a QR code. Open FactsLane in a browser, scan the code with the app, and you are signed in. No password to type on a TV or in a car.
  • One color system. Web, iOS and Android now share one palette, in light and dark themes, so the product looks and reads the same everywhere.

Why it matters

Most news apps ask for more of your attention. These features do the opposite: they let you set limits once and keep them. Widgets give you the signal without the scroll, and Noise Budget and Auto Zen protect your evenings.

How to try it

Update FactsLane on iOS or Android. Noise Budget and Auto Zen are in the calm settings. Widgets are added from your home screen. The QR code is in your profile on the app and on the web sign-in page.
