SpaceX Reschedules 10th Starship Test Flight for Monday Evening
SpaceX plans to launch its 10th Starship test flight on Monday evening after postponing Sunday's attempt due to a ground systems issue.
SpaceX is set to conduct the 10th test flight of its Starship rocket system on Monday evening from its Texas launch site. The launch window opens at 7:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. CT). This follows the postponement of Sunday's scheduled launch due to a ground systems issue.
The upcoming test aims to deploy eight dummy Starlink satellites and perform experiments focused on enabling Starship's upper stage to return to the launch site. The flight is expected to last a little over an hour, concluding with a splashdown in the Indian Ocean.
This test follows a series of setbacks earlier this year, including failures during the seventh, eighth, and ninth test flights, as well as a ground explosion in June during preparations for a static fire test.
SpaceX's Starship project is integral to the company's goal of developing a fully reusable spacecraft capable of missions to Mars and the Moon. NASA plans to use Starship for a crewed lunar mission by 2027.
The launch will be livestreamed on SpaceX's website and on X, with the webcast starting 30 minutes before liftoff.
