Country singer Nicole Taylor of Taylor Red dies at 35 after battling breast cancer
Nicole Taylor, a member of the country trio Taylor Red, died on Sept. 28 at age 35 following a multi-year fight with stage 4 breast cancer.
Nicole Taylor, who performed with her identical triplet sisters in the country group Taylor Red, died on Sept. 28 at the age of 35. The sisters, Natalie and Nika Taylor, announced the death on social media on Nov. 2, noting that Nicole had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2022, which later advanced to stage 4.
The sisters said Nicole initially responded to treatment but the disease progressed, and doctors later gave her a three-month prognosis. She lived for about a year beyond that estimate, continuing to stay active, including doing CrossFit during chemotherapy.
"She fought it fearlessly and we’re not going to live in dread during all of this," the sisters said in an Instagram video.
"She tried not to live in fear. She remained really hopeful and traveled. She tried to have fun," they added.
Nicole had previously spoken about the support she received from her family during treatment, mentioning that her mother and sisters accompanied her to chemotherapy sessions and her brother exercised with her regularly.
Taylor Red, which began performing at local events in Mississippi, gained national attention after launching a TikTok account during the pandemic. The platform helped the group amass millions of followers and increased exposure for their single "Country Money."
