Coroner links actor Richard Norton's death to peptide injection
Australian actor Richard Norton died at 75 in Melbourne after a cardiac arrest that a coroner said was caused by an anaphylactic reaction to a prescribed peptide stack. Coroner David Ryan had concluded that the actor’s death resulted from complications following the injection of unapproved peptides, and health officials warned that emergency-room visits linked to such products are rising.
Earlier, a coroner had found the March 2025 cardiac arrest was due to an overdose of the peptides CJC1295 and ipamorelin, prompting calls for tighter regulation. The Victorian coroner subsequently recommended that the Therapeutic Goods Administration reassess the safety and scheduling of those unapproved peptides.
