Harley-Davidson launches Sprint 440 cruiser, produced with Hero MotoCorp for global markets

Summary

Harley-Davidson unveiled the Sprint 440, a 440 cc entry-level cruiser developed with Hero MotoCorp, with deliveries slated for the United States in spring 2027.

Harley-Davidson has unveiled the Sprint 440, an entry-level cruiser created in partnership with Hero MotoCorp. The model will be shown publicly at the EICMA show in Milan in 2026 and is expected to reach international markets from 2027, with U.S. deliveries planned for spring 2027 from the company’s York, Pennsylvania assembly plant.

The Sprint 440 uses the brand’s 440 cc air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 26.7 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, coupled to a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch. Harley-Davidson describes the bike as focused on accessible performance and low-speed torque rather than outright sportiness.

Designed with a traditional cruiser silhouette, the motorcycle features a low stance, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, scooped seat, swept-back handlebars, a shortened rear mudguard, stepped pillion area and low-mounted exhaust. The seat height is 671 mm, and optional Reach and Tallboy seats will be available.

Standard equipment includes a 3.5-inch colour TFT instrument panel, full LED lighting and a USB-Type-C charging port. A range of accessories such as a detachable windscreen, saddlebags, passenger backrest, engine guard and alternative handlebars will be offered.

Pricing starts at £4,995 in the United Kingdom. The Sprint 440 will be assembled in Harley-Davidson’s York facility before being shipped to global markets.
