Bears eye more jumbo formations after Kmet's season-ending injury
Head coach Ben Johnson said on 24 October that the Chicago Bears will likely increase their use of six-lineman ‘jumbo’ formations after tight end Cole Kmet suffered a season-ending knee injury. Kmet sustained a serious right-knee injury during the Bears’ 20 October win over the New England Patriots, was carted off the field and subsequently placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
