Milwaukee beat Tampa Bay 10-1 in Game 3, highlighted by an eight-run fifth inning, and moved one win away from its first World Series title.

Milwaukee took a 3-0 lead in the World Series on Monday night, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 at Tropicana Field. The Brewers generated most of their offense in the fifth inning, scoring eight runs to pull away.

Rays manager Kevin Cash noted the unique challenges of his home park, saying, "> There's no doubt when a pop-up goes up, it's a little different – you don't see that type of visual at any of the 29 other ballparks."

Milwaukee starter Robert Gasser worked six shutout innings, allowing only two hits and one walk while striking out several batters. The offense was sparked by RBI singles from Christian Yelich and William Contreras in the third inning, followed by a two-run single from Brice Turang and a two-run double by Cooper Pratt in the fifth. Sal Frelick added a double, and Cole Sulser contributed an RBI single and a double later in the inning.

The Rays were unable to answer back, and the loss left them facing a steep path to force a comeback in the series.
