Terry McLaurin to Miss Rest of Season After Patellar Tendon Tear

सारांश

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin suffered a torn patellar tendon and will undergo season-ending surgery, ending his 2025 campaign.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was carted off the field on Monday night after tearing his patellar tendon in a collision with San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir. Head coach Dan Quinn said the injury will require surgery and will keep McLaurin out for the remainder of the season. > "McLaurin tore his patellar tendon Monday night and will undergo season-ending surgery," Quinn told reporters on Tuesday.

McLaurin, a two-time Pro Bowler, had recorded one catch for 27 yards before the injury. He had previously missed the team's Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts with a hamstring issue but returned the following week to catch four passes for 62 yards against the New York Giants.

The Commanders will need to adjust their passing attack without McLaurin. Veteran receiver Stefon Diggs is expected to receive more targets, while younger players Dyami Brown, Treylon Burks and Antonio Williams are projected to see increased playing time.
