Billy Joel says health improving but still barred from performing
According to WGAL, Billy Joel said his health is improving after treatment for normal-pressure hydrocephalus, but doctors have not cleared him to perform. The 77-year-old added that his return to touring remains uncertain. Rolling Stone reported that Joel will auction more than 70 vintage motorcycles in November, with proceeds earmarked for the Joel Foundation.
Earlier, USA Today noted that doctors have advised him to pause touring and driving while further testing continues. ABC News earlier confirmed that the singer is prohibited from driving and unable to perform while undergoing treatment for the brain condition diagnosed in May 2025.
