Zeteo reported that Irish novelist Sally Rooney could be detained in the United Kingdom after she continued donating royalties to Palestine Action, which was designated a terrorist organization in 2025. Earlier, Slate said Faber & Faber would stop selling Rooney’s titles in the United Kingdom after legal advice warned that the royalty donations could breach the Terrorism Act, which proscribes Palestine Action. The BBC added that Rooney and her publisher had already halted supply of her books in the UK following her announcement that she would keep donating royalties to the group.
