Patriots expected to decide A.J. Brown's status before Jets game
The New England Patriots are expected to decide wide receiver A. J. Brown's participation in the Week 6 game against the New York Jets after evaluating his practice performance, coach Mike Vrabel said in Foxborough.
Earlier in the week, Vrabel indicated a chance that Brown could be cleared to practice, and the team later announced that Brown and cornerback Christian Gonzalez would begin practicing as the 21-day return window could open within 24 hours, targeting a Week 6 comeback. Boston Sports Journal later reported that Brown practiced for the first time since a high-ankle sprain, but his game status remained uncertain.
