Bills and Rams clash in Monday Night Football showdown with Super Bowl implications

The Buffalo Bills travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams on Monday Night Football, a matchup that many analysts view as an early preview of a potential Super Bowl rematch. Both clubs have encountered inconsistencies this season; the Bills dropped a home game to the New England Patriots, while the Rams have a 2-2 record after narrowly avoiding a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Oddsmakers rank the Rams with the best Super Bowl odds and the Bills second, reflecting their status as the league's leading contenders despite recent setbacks. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen, a frequent MVP candidate, has struggled with turnovers in recent weeks, while Los Angeles’ defense delivered a strong performance against the Eagles, limiting them to 172 total yards.

Key injuries could influence the contest. The Bills are without wide receiver Joshua Palmer and list D.J. Moore as questionable, while tight end Dalton Kincaid has seen a decline in targets after a strong start. Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady acknowledged the issue, saying, "> I got to be better. There's no reason Dalton Kincaid should have two targets, especially with the flow of the game and how that goes. I got to find a way to get the ball in his hands and do a better job of that."

The Rams’ backfield, featuring Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, has shifted toward a heavier workload for Williams in recent games. Betting markets show the Rams as slight favorites, with the line moving to Los Angeles -3.5 and the over/under set at 54.5 points.

Both teams aim to rebound: a loss would leave the Bills tied for first place in the AFC East with the Patriots, while the Rams seek momentum after a lukewarm start and a challenging schedule that includes a pending game against the 49ers. The outcome could shape the trajectory of each franchise’s playoff aspirations.
