UFC released Brazilian fighter Ismael Bonfim on 13 October after he was knocked out in the first round of his UFC Vegas 122 bout in Las Vegas, Nevada, and after he had missed weight by about eight pounds. Bonfim had entered the fight on 9 October weighing in 7.5 pounds over the lightweight limit, turning the contest into a catch-weight bout and costing him a 25 percent reduction of his purse.
