Bears coach Ben Johnson benches Tyson Bagent for Case Keenum after interceptions
NBC Sports reported that Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson benched starter Tyson Bagent in the fourth quarter of the October 4 loss to the Green Bay Packers, citing a lack of rhythm and two interceptions, and installed veteran Case Keenum. Earlier in the week, NBC Sports said the Bears had confirmed Bagent as the starter for the Packers game after he had started the previous win over the New York Jets, where the NFL credited Keenum with the start despite Bagent playing the remainder of the snaps. The team had also experimented in practice, fielding both Bagent and Keenum, which led to the technical starter designation for Keenum.
