Metallica completes two-night "Life Burns Faster" residency at Las Vegas Sphere
Rolling Stone reported that Metallica concluded its two-night “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, with both performances selling out rapidly and the band offering extra fan experiences on the Strip. The residency opened with a sold-out show that attracted roughly 17,000 attendees and featured a 16-song set of classic and newer material, according to Louder; the concert also incorporated extensive 3D graphics, including a Lovecraft-inspired display, as noted by Pitchfork. On the second night, Louder said the band performed a new 16-song lineup, and Ultimate Classic Rock highlighted that two songs from the 1996 album Load were played for the first time in years.
