Hundred-plus settlers set fire to Jalud homes, injuring Israeli police
On 30 September, more than a hundred militant settlers overwhelmed Israeli police in Jalud, setting homes on fire and injuring three officers, prompting condemnation from Israeli officials and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The violence followed earlier attacks on 29 September, when the same settlers set fire to two homes of the al-Tubasi family, clashed with Israeli forces and blocked the family’s return after a High Court order; Israeli forces detained two suspects and a convoy meant to restore the family’s residence was attacked, leaving police injured.
