Motorola readies Signature 27 flagship for U.S. launch
Motorola said it is preparing to launch its Signature 27 flagship smartphone in the United States, Android Authority reported on 26 September. The company added that the device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and will be offered through the country's major carriers. Motorola first unveiled the Signature 27 on 22 September, highlighting a 50-MP main camera, a 200-MP periscope sensor and advanced thermal management, Gizmodo reported. Qualcomm had launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips earlier in the month, describing them as 2 nm AI-focused processors for premium Android phones, CNBC noted. Android Central said the phone will also be released across North America later in the year, citing strong demand for premium devices.
Android Authority earlier reported that the U. S. launch is slated for later this year, emphasizing the device's distinctive design and long battery life. However, Android Police highlighted criticism from Pixel fans who doubt the phone's design and long-term software support despite its high-end specifications.
