Seahawks and Broncos coaches resolve video-scouting dispute, interview segment withdrawn
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald and former Broncos coach Sean Payton expressed regret over a 2024 interview that discussed the Seahawks' use of fan-recorded Broncos training-camp footage, and the segment was removed, Defector reported. Earlier, Macdonald said Payton had threatened to expose the Seahawks' video scouting, describing the dispute as a "Cold War" between the clubs.
Payton denied the allegation, referencing a past Michigan scouting scandal, while Macdonald later apologized for his off-record remarks. The disagreement prompted the Broncos to review and revise their video policy.
